Claire, I’d heard about how astonishingly amazing your writing is, and I am already blown away by the first chapter. So excited (and slightly scared!) to read the rest in August! Compliments to Sarah, too, on the gorgeous and creepy illustrations.
This is all so FABULOUS!! *does happy dance*
YAYYY!!!! I’m so happy for you! You rock….like a lot.
Love it!! I am super excited to read the whole book!! August can’t come soon enough!
Aaaaah amazing!! Another reason to look forward to August! (And, hey, baby unicorns, right?!
)
(And, um, my hair started turning gray/white when I was eleven, and I’m equally passionate about doodling and the piano…)
I am excited to read this!! Looking forward to the release!!
Gahh I want more! How am I supposed to wait until August?? I love VIctoria and Lawrence already!
WOW! What a great opening-grabber chapter! I want more, and I want it now!!! Hurry Hurry Hurry !!
Darling Claire,
Accept my gratitude! Having just arrived stateside from the not-so-fictional lost city of Atlantis, my dismay at finding my own palm trees and lake waves still shimmering in the same breeze I last felt has lightened unexpectedly! Your introduction of stodgy but destiny-molded Victoria and of her beguilingly odd skunk friend Lawrence have snatched me back into the state of wonderment where black hammerhead sharks and flying 12 foot manta rays have held me captive for 4 days. Your book seems to me a lingering vacation; in fact, I wish I could read it installments as I’ve read chapter one- in bed, coffee no longer steaming, aloud to my love as he also swims in the picture being drawn by your quill. Thanks to a very lovely somewhat delayed post-holiday re-entry! xxoo aunt betsi
P.s. I originally replied to the wrong spot – haven’t mastered your b’sphere YET! Xo
Ohmygoodnes! I knew I was excited for this boo, but apparently I didn’t know exactly how excited I was! I loved the first chapter =D
Ooh, Claire, you’re such a tease! I just read this in one sitting and now I really really want the book.
Oh my goodness, I just got around to reading your first chapter now and it was just FANTASTIC. This is the sort of writing I love to read. Just wonderful. I can’t wait to read the entire thing.
